Choir
Faith Christian Choir is the senior performing choir and consists of students from grades 5 through 8. The choir meets for practice two to three times each week, and they participate in a variety of performances throughout the school year. Besides preparing for school programs and concerts, this group participates in the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) district choir contest in early March of selected years, as well as in a Broadway style musical every other year.
Proclaim!
Proclaim! Is a smaller singing group usually made up of select choir members from grades 6 through 8 and is designed to give a more advanced singing experience to those students who need a further musical challenge. Entrance into this group is by teacher recommendation, as well as by audition. This Group meets twice weekly for one half hour. Private voice lessons for participants, although not required, are highly recommended. Members of Proclaim! Must maintain at least a C grade point average and keep current with their classroom requirements. Proclaim! Competes as a group at the February Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) Solo and Ensemble Contest, as well as performing for all concerts, music parties, recitals, as well as graduation. |
