At Faith Christian Academy we believe that when kids delve into creating projects with their hands as well as their minds, they develop skills in creative thinking, problem solving, self-expression and cooperation. The Art program is designed to provide each student with an awareness of their God-given gifts, abilities, and confidence in using them, as well as a sensitivity to God's creation. Through the use of a variety of techniques and media students develop skills in drawing, painting, designing and crafting. In the Spring and Fall of each year Mrs. Andresen, Art Instructor at FCA, reviews all of the students artwork and selects those pieces that she feels meets the exhibit criteria. She then invites a group of adults to help judge which of these student's artwork is to be placed on display at the Geneva, IL. City Hall as part of their Art for All At City Hall exhibit. The artwork selections are made based on criteria neatness that best represents the project, as well as the school. Students are always encouraged to do their best work, and explore the creative, artistic gifts that God has given them!
